Summer Activities

Our congregation has been busy this summer!
We started out with our Annual Strawberry Festival in June--it was a great success and many people ate quantities of delicious strawberries, ice cream, and strawberry pie.
Many thanks to all the workers who helped out during this event!

Next was our luncheon outing.
This year we all met at Judy's Kitchen in Cerro Gordo, about 24 of us in all.
We had a delicious buffet of walleye, green beans, potatoes, fruit and salads, and, of course, pie.
We always have a fun time--it's a great opportunity to visit.

Just this past weekend, in conjunction with the annual Village-wide rummage sales, we had our food stand in our parking area beside the church.
Friday and Saturday were both very busy days.
We sold out of most of our food--what a blessing!
Thanks to all the workers who helped make this fundraiser so successful!

Next weekend we will be parking cars next to Flaugher Appliance Center during the Decatur Celebration.
This is another important fundraiser for us--and we are grateful for all who park their car in "our" lot.
If you are coming to the Celebration, park in our lot--it is just a short walk to the celebration activities.

Sunday, August 7 is Church in the Park.
We will be meeting in Born Park in Cerro Gordo for our worship--no Sunday School that day.
After our worship, we will enjoy a potluck lunch.
All are welcome to join us in worshipping God in our great outdoors.

We welcome all to our church.
Please join us.
Sunday School is at 9:00 and worship is at 10:00 each Sunday morning.
Bible study meets at 9:30 Tuesday mornings--all are welcome.
(However, Bible study is on hiatus until Sept. 6.)

  1. Wow! Both the church and its activities are beautiful. Many churches are getting financially unable to run its cost and pay debts. Griffin church loans in USA is an expert church loan lender that helps churches financially.

  3. Noah is symbolism for you-soul. And the mountain which the Ark came to rest upon was the Higher Peace, Ageless Happiness, Christ Love within our own consciousness. In other words, silence builds the spiritual Ark or Mind. bible diet
